We Love Lexi Too

I wasn't sure if I was going to post this but here goes. When we got home yesterday with Lucy we notice that she went potty a lot and she seemed to leak. Her bottom was all wet.  When we got up this morning she was soaked so we called the breeder that we got her from. Long story somewhat shorter the breeder thought we should bring her back because she was unsure of her health. She didn't know if it was a bladder infection or something worse. The puppy was a little lethargic and her nose was warm and runny. Well we all already loved her and did not want to see her go but after much thought we decided to take her back. We were all very sad.  My husband and I took her back today and we got her sister Lexi. She is just as sweet and lovable but it was still hard. Lexi has a lot more energy than her sister (probably because of Lucy not being well). She does not like the crate so much, she likes to stretch out on the nice cool floor. She does not like the pink tennis ball that Lucy liked either, she likes a little rope pull toy we got. We already love her...how can you not love a puppy.

She's adorable also! I had the same thing happen to me too with a puppy. You get so attached to them so fast.

Well, all things happen for a reason. Lexi was the dog meant for you and your family. I will pray for Lucy to become well.

I left you a blog award on my blog.
I am sorry about Lucy. I hope it is something that can be cured, but I agree with your decision, even though it was definitely a hard one to make.
The new baby is darling as well.

Sue,

My heart skipped a beat when I saw both puppies. I love dogs so much and they both looked sooooo adorable that I don't know how you did it (take Lucy back) but at least you had Lexi, her sister. I sure hope there isn't anything seriously wrong with Lucy.

What breed of dogs are they?

Ohhhhhh my heart goes out to you, it must have been so hard, and poor Lucy, I hope she will be ok, I have tears now, we just lost our Golden last September and she looks so much like Andy when he was a pup :) We now have a new baby and I just posted a few photos on my blog if you want to see, but Golden's are so easy to train and so loving, you will be happy with her :)

i think you made the right decision.. Your new baby is just adorable.. Isn't it funny how they can be so different from each other.. Same Mommy and Daddy, bot their own personalities.. just like our babies..hahaha.. Hope you have years of love and fuzzy feelings with Lexie..hugs ~tea~

(I pushed the wrong key before I was done commenting...oops!)

So sorry about Lucy...I just know that whatever time you shared meant something to her and will be helpful on her journey:)

I certainly hope that you are going to keep in touch with the breeder about the pup you gave back. Perhaps a vet visit should have taken place before you decided to give her back. I know she was only with you a week, but she sure was cute.

Awww! That's is hard to go through, but your new pup is adorable! We have 3 pups (big dogs) and they're a lot of work, but well worth it. Thanks for commenting on my blog, by the way.

Lexi is darling. It's good for the breeder to have Lucy and take care of her. Breeders need to know when their puppies have problems and this sounds like a very responsible breeder. I speak from experience!
