Better Than Sex Cake !!!!

I'm sure you have all heard of this cake and probably made is so yummy (I wonder who named it). I think there are many variations on the recipe.   I made it last night for a pot-luck at work today.  Everyone seemed to really like it. The piece of cake in the picture is from the second cake I made to keep at home for my family. They don't like when I make something good and it leaves the house. My mom gave me the recipe she clipped out of a newspaper years ago. The recipe is below.......enjoy!

     1-box devil's food cake mix
1-14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1-16 oz jar caramel ice cream topping
     1-container cool whip
     6-Heath candy bars

Bake cake per directions on box.

Right after you take it out of the oven, take a butter knife (or anything) and poke holes all over the cake about 1" apart.

Pour the can of  condensed milk and caramel topping all over the cake while it is still warm and it will absorb in. Also crush up 3 Heath bars and crumble over the top of the cake. These should melt a little. Put in the fridge overnight when cooled.

In the morning ice the cake with the whole container of cool whip and crush up the last 3 Heath bars and sprinkle on top of the cake.

Sorry this is not low calorie.............but it tastes wonderful.

I made this cake years ago. It's funny you posted it today, because I was thinking about making it again and couldn't find my recipe.

It is so yummy. Not sure about the title, but it's very close. LOL

Have a happy day.

Hi Sue!

First of all, thank you so much for visiting me and for being a follower! YIKES! I'm so excited. I have TWO now. I really don't even understand what that's all about?? Maybe you would share with me? I don't get the "feeds" either. I'm old (age) and new (blogging).... :-) It's much harder to learn this stuff when you're past 20!

I got a tickle out of your Better Than Sex Cake. That's how I captured my Hubby's heart..Probably not the most appropriate thing to bring to a church singles event.......... :-)....but it was yummy and so it goes.........

Again, I appreciate you so much...Thank you, thank you, thank you...I'm adding you to my favorite girlies list right now...
