Halloween Snow Globe
Happy Hauntings ~ Halloween Snow Globe.
This snow globe has no snow or water in it. I got this empty globe and base at a flea market many years ago but was never inspired to do anything with it. Then is summer I was ready for Halloween and decided to finally make something with it. I used 2 vintage lamp parts for the base of my creation. The one on the inside I glittered with a mixed of gold and silver glitter. It's just not a holiday for me unless there is some glitter involved. The outside lamp part I left as it was. I added a black bottle brush tree on top of all that. I had some porcelain Frozen Charlottes in a jar just waiting for a home so I dressed one up like a witch and added her on the lamp piece. The #31 is metal as are the little black roses and spiders. There are black glitter covered bats on the front of the tree and on the back of the base. There is a black rhinestone embellishment on the center of the base that is a little hard to see in the pictures. I decorated the tree a bit and added the banner and it was done. I took a few pictures before I put the glass globe on so you can see the details better.

Blue Banner with Pink Roses
I have always used the name Gossamer Creations for all my handmade items. I couple years ago I started selling vintage and vintage inspired home decor items with a partner. So we started BROCADE MOON (Etsy Shop) because I wanted to keep my handmade items separate. Somehow I stared adding my handmade items to Brocade Moon because it was easier keeping it all in one place. So now it's ended up mostly my handmade items and a little vintage. So if you see Brocade Moon on this blog a lot that's the reason. I am still always making something. Lately I have been making these fabric banners. I decorate with them all the time in my home and I just love them. Not just for parties just because I think they are cute and happy for anytime. If I was still doing craft shows and selling at craft malls I would use them to decorate my easy-up and mall space. I wish I was making them then.
I also have another Etsy Shop Called The GYPSY FACTORY. This one I stared with my daughter. She designed everything and did all the blog design. I just did the manual (computer) labor. She is no longer a part of it because of time constraints. So it's just me. Because she was the designer I have to sell everything as you see it because I don't know how to make changes. I think it's really cute and of course I think she is very talented (being her mom). That's why I brought it back after the shop was closed for so long. I will still be adding items for the next few days. I hope you can stop by and check it out.
Thanks,
Sue

Pink Party Banners
I have been making these banners for myself and decided to make them to sell. They are such an easy way to make any occasion more festive. I uses vintage fabric... from flea markets and new fabric. All my banners are one sided with raw edges. With my favorite color being pink most of my banners have pink in them. I try to use other colors because I know everyone does not love pink (not sure why) but it's a little hard for me. I also like robin's egg blue with a slight bit of green in it.

Christmas ~ Star ~ Bead ~ Pearl Garland
I have so many vintage and new beads that I decided to make a garland. I felt like I was never going to use them all, but I love having them and still collect them. Pearls are my favorite. I must have at least 20 pearl necklaces and I wear them all the time. My Christmas tree is usually covered with pearls.
If you would like to see the garland......... it's here.

Little Pink Shadowbox~Shrine
This is my newest shadowbox that I made for my etsy shop. I really have to restrain myself not to make everything I make pink. I do love white too so almost everything I make is pink or white. I try to make things in a few other colors now and then because I know everyone does not love only pink and white. Black and white stripes are my next favorite but that is harder to paint.
I hope you like it.

Fairy Garden Visit #2
I went to see these cute fairy gardens again at M & M Nursery in Orange, California. I just took a few pictures really quick. I don't think they are as good as the last time I was there. They have everything you need to make a fairy garden. I bought a few plants and accessories for my garden. I found out they also have a web site fairygardenexpert.com .
I think I want to buy one of the fairy houses, they had several to choose from. I will post a picture of my little fairy garden that I am just now getting started on. I think it was 2009 when I went there the first time. You could use doll house furniture for your fairy garden if it was metal or plastic. I think I have seen stepping stones made from Fimo clay. You could also use little pieces of tile from Michael's or Home Depot for stepping stones. I bought some at the nursery today because I like the shape of them (more natural looking). You can use anything that can take the weather conditions.
